Mission Auto Care was established in February of 1999. Mission Auto Care has been part of the Oceanside community for years. Our shop is known for our straight forward, no nonsense approach. Our Team

BJ Lee

Owner

BJ has been in the Automotive Repair Industry for over 40 years. From ASE Certified Master Technician
with 14 Certifications to ASE Certified Service Consultant, Manager and multi-shop owner. Along with shop ownership at Mission Auto Care, he an Auto Repair Industry Consultant and Coach, with The
Institute for Automotive Business Excellence. He loves to spend time with his Grandchildren, Go hiking,
hang at the beach and travel to Kauai, where he would love to retire someday with his wife Rachel,
whom he’s been married to for 37years.

Rachel Lee

Office Manager

Rachel has been married to B.J. for over 37 years. They have always made a great team in and out of the
office. She has over 20 years office experience and handles all the accounting responsibilities at Mission
Auto Care. With several Grandkids, Rachel enjoys the simple things in life such as spending time with her
family, going to the beach and family camping trips.

Jena Lee

Office & Marketing

Jena was born into the automotive industry and has been involved in many ways. Jena’s first job at the
family business was to do a voice over commercial at the age of 8 and people loved it. Today she
handles Human Resources and Marketing at Mission Auto Care where her Associates Degree has come
in handy. Jena is always looking to further her education and studies relevant automotive industry
trends, to help her stay on top of her game. Jena loves decorating her NEW home, spending time at the
beach, and going on camping trips with her family during her free time.

Jared Melendez

Manager

Jared has been managing for several years with an emphasis on customer service. Jared has a passion
for managing a business and received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Jared just
completed a rigorous 12-month Service Advisor Mastery Program at the Top of his class at The Institute
for Automotive Business Excellence. In his free time, he enjoys working around his NEW Home, camping,
off-roading and flying airplanes to get his adrenaline fix.

Tony Lopez

Certified Technician

Tony has been in the automotive industry nearly 11 years, is ASE Advanced Level Certified as well as
many other areas. Tony recently became a Master Certified EV and Hybrid vehicle Specialist through the
“ACDC Up Your Voltage”, Program in PA. As a newlywed, he looks forward to having children someday.
Tony loves building fast cars and enjoys Drag and Road Racing on weekends. When he’s not working on
cars, he, and his wife love to go camping and Kayaking.

Justin Bowser

Certified Technician

Justin has been in the Automotive Industry for 19+ years and loves working on Asian and Domestic
Vehicles. Over the last year, Justin earned his California State Licensed Smog Inspector and Repair
Technician Licenses and is now our In-house Smog Technician. He enjoys skateboarding and hiking on his
free time. When he’s feeling creative, he likes to cook new dishes and draw. Justin purchased his 1 st
home last year and is excited to be doing his 2 nd passion, woodworking in his own garage.
